Warren Alan Maggio's Obituary
Warren Alan "Pappa" Maggio was born in Patchogue, Long Island, New York, February 25, 1930. He passed away peacefully in his sleep December 10,2025 in the home of his daughter and son-in-law where he finally succumbed to a lengthy battle with throat cancer. He was a friend to everyone he met. His generosity was amazing, donating to numerous charities he deemed worthy. Everyone who met him loved him. including cab drivers, restaurant owners, random hotel worker, etc all over the world. He loved to travel especially with his daughter, and son-in-law, Bill. He was especially fond on Mexico, where he owned a 2nd home on the beach.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Estelle and Charles Maggio, brother Robert Maggio, Wife and love of his life Nancy S. Maggio and his Grandson and best friend Austin Alan Baker. He never really got over the death of his Grandson two years ago.
He is survived by his Daughter and Son-in-law Nancy and Bill Baker, Daughter Cynthia Javurek and her Daughter Carri and Son Nicholas. Daughter Christy Bessey and Husband Mike, and Sons Shane Gabriel and Daughter Gloria, Grand-Daughter Courtney Lynn Piper and husband Joseph and their two lovely daughters Penny and Pressley whom he adored.
He always treated people with the utmost respect and could always find some humor in any circumstance. His optimism lifted everyone's sprits continually through his lifetime. He will truly missed be all who knew and loved him
There will be a celebration of life at the La Porte Community Church January 10,2026 at 11:00am, located at 200 South Street, La Porte,TX 77571.
