Wayman Boyce Boatman's Obituary
Wayne Boatman 82 passed away Tuesday August 10th. He is preceded in death by his parents David and Christene Knabe Boatman, wife; Mary Sandoval Boatman, brother; David Boatman, left to cherish memory are son; Rick Alanis, sister; Ann Williams, granddaughter; Brandy Gentry, and great granddaughter; Presley Gentry, nieces; Debbie Sebastian, and Sherry Chwalinski, nephews; Mark Boatman and Morris Boatman, and many great nieces and nephew, and a host of other family and friends.
Wayne is a native of Little Rock Arkansas. He met the love of his life Mary Sandoval and the two were married fifty - six years, before Mary’s death in October of 2020. Wayne was a computer programmer and he worked in Flight Control at NASA as a CCATT. He left NASA to go to work for Lockheed Martin, and worked there until his retirement. Wayne served his country in the United States Air Force from 1956 until 1960. Wayne served on the LaPorte Volunteer Fire Department for fifteen years.
Wayne was a Rancher and loved coming home from work every day to tend to his, cattle, horses, dogs, and chickens. Once he retired his animals and garden became his life. Wayne loved to Deer Hunt and in Deer season you would find him hunting with his friends in the Charles Creek Hunting Club. Wayne will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
