I want to thank all those who were with my grandfather to the end, letting me know how he was doing. It was heartwarming to know so many cared for him. I will miss you grandpa and will think of you often with love.

In 1988 I was the first to occupy one of four townhouses on Boston St. Bill moved in a while later, it sure was nice to have a neighbor. It was nice to have a neighbor as nice as Bill. We would visit in the driveway and catch up on events. That was over twenty years ago, and we remained neighbors until his passing, unbelievable. Bill and Gary would come to our Christmas in July parties. Bill in red hat, white beard, must be Santa! He had the best time. I will miss you Bill.
I came, with Bill, to UH-Clear Lake at its founding in 1974 and often dropped by to talk in his lair on the third floor of the Bayou Building. A man with his cosmopolitan, wide-ranging experience and many talents always had something fascinating to say. If he’d wanted to, he could have carried on with self-congratulating grandeur. No one wuld deny his the right to it. But, as, the notice says, he was always kind, one felt the easiness of a long friendship even early on. It was a great joy to know him. Best wishes to all who loved him.
