Papaw and his grandson, Lucas. He so enjoyed time with Lucas. They loved playing with water balloons.

Through the Years......
Augustus and Evarist were married for 50 years. They would have celebrated their 51st on August 3, 2024.
On their 50th anniversary, they celebrated by going on a 7 day cruise to Belize and Cozumel.
Augustus was a professional long haul truck driver. The brown truck was the first one he owned. The blue truck was the last one he owned. He absolutely loved that blue truck.
Augustus, as a young boy, to adulthood and then a senior citizen. Throughout his life, he was an upstanding man, true to his beliefs, a firm faith in
god and a wonderful husband and father, then grand-father to his wife, Evarist, daughter Dawn and grand-son, Lucas.
This last picture is a true picture of his personality - always ready with a smile to greet friends, relatives, whoever was coming to visit. Rest in Peace, my dearest husband. You will be missed. Thank you for giving us the best. We love you!
I love this picture. It was taken before we got married and looking at it now, I can see the love and hopes that we shared as two young people so in love with each other.
