Donald Eugene Lee's Obituary
Donald Eugene Lee, 80, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 8, 2022, while his daughter was holding his hand and playing his favorite George Jones songs. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Marion Lee; and sister, Billie Voigt. Left to cherish Donald’s memory are his loving wife, Kay Lee, son Glenn Lee and wife, Holly; daughter Tara Lee Webb and husband, Kevin; brother James Lee and wife, Jacqueline; sister Doris Kershaw and husband, James; granddaughter Claire Lee and a host of other dear family and friends.
Donald was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, Viet Nam Veteran, cancer survivor, and friend. He worked as a Chemical Plant Operator for Petro-Tex, and Bayer Chemical and was a wonderful provider for his family. He loved his family more than life itself as well as his many close friends. Donald was an amazing man who was loved by all who knew him and he was always caring and fun loving. He loved to spend his time with loved ones. He possessed a big gentle smile, great sense of humor and a quick wit and was great at making people laugh. Donald was also a fighter through and through despite many medical issues. He loved to travel and was always looking for the next adventure…whether it be motorcycle trips with close friends to Colorado and beyond, going camping, riding four wheelers or just working/piddling in the garage. Watterson was where Donald’s heart was, and he enjoyed immensely working at the farm and being in the country. He will be missed by all who knew him.
