It was such an honor to call Linda our friend. As I reflect on the years of friendship all I can say is what an incredible journey we have all shared. When I think of Linda, I am filled with a sense of warmth, gratitude, and a deep love for the memories we were able to create together. I met Linda through AST, little did I know that meeting her would not only bring me a dear friend, but would also connect me to some of the best people I’ve ever known, my Southern Sisters. Most of my closest friends today are people I met through AST & STA, and together, we’ ve watched each other grow, change, and navigate life’s many challenges. We were young back then, full of hopes, dreams, and a shared belief that we could conquer the world. We certainly had our share of highs and lows, but through it all, our bond just got stronger. From simple sleepovers after work, binge watching Friends, 😆 until we couldn’t breathe, laughing so hard, to celebrating milestones that shaped our lives. We weathered the hardest of storms, grieving the loss of parents, watching children grow and leave the nest, all of us truly supporting each other through the many transitions of life. Through it all, Linda has and was a constant with her sweet disposition and positivity. What makes our Southern Sisters sisterhood so special is not just the good times, but the way we are there for one another in the tuff moments. And Linda was a Saint during times we needed her as well as for herself. Always showed up with an open heart, and reminding us we still have each other. Linda’s kindness and unwavering support is a shinning example of what it means to be a true friend. She certainly understood the beauty in our diverse personalities and the strength we gained from being different, yet united. God knew before we did that this group, with all our quirks and qualities, would be a force of love and support for one another. And that is something I will always cherish. Linda’s legacy isn’t just in memories, but in the sisterhood she helped shape, and the love that will continue to bind us together forever. We will miss her dearly, but will carry her memory with us always.
