Deepest sympathy and condolences to the Soliz family

Uncle Rick was family to me. Some of my best childhood memories are with Rick, Uncle Ray, Lil’ Rick, Desiree, and Robert, spending weekends with me and my Uncle Larry out at my granny’s place in Pearland. Whether we were out in the yard playing sports with Rick and Robert, making mud pies and slinging them around like we had no sense (and yes, we were bad and Desiree was right along with us), or sitting inside waiting on someone to order Pizza Hut for everybody, those were some of the happiest times of our lives. Meanwhile, Big Rick, Larry, and Ray would be sitting under the tree laughing and enjoying the day. It was never just friends — it was one big family: the Foster and Soliz families together.
Those are the memories I’ll hold onto whenever the sorrow of losing you hits. Though you may be gone from this earth, you’ll continue to live on through all of us and the memories we shared. I can only imagine you up in heaven now with Uncle Larry, both of you smiling down on us with a Busch beer in hand. :)
Rest in peace, Uncle Rick. I’m truly sorry I can’t make it to the funeral, but please know I love you all dearly and I’m praying for the entire family.
God bless,
Marcus Foster
I met Rick in early 2000's at Powell. He was a big intimidating guy. However, once I got to know him, I realized he had a big heart & he was one of the good guys. He was an asset to Powell, and he was always willing to help others!! I enjoyed seeing him in the shop & seeing his smile!!
