On August 24, 1950 in New Orleans, Louisiana, a lovely son was born to Emmett Stanley and Stellina Tureaud and they named him Vernon Thomas Stanley. Vernon went on to be with the Lord on January 10, 2013. Vernon grew up on Third Read Obituary
Vernon could be heard whistling as he came down the street from school. The sound was very distinguished, beautiful. I will never forget how handsome he was. High school girls would come and walk around his corner house and take photos of it like folks now do at the homes of movie stars.
I grew up with Vernon in Pontchartrain Park across the street on Providence Pl. However, I have no pictures of him. Please send any pictures to [email protected] or text them to 504-577-1399. It will be very much appreciated by his childhood friend Pookey. Also, my mother Catherine just passed on 01/05/2026. She was one week shy of 100.
Vernon and his family were wonderful people, great neighbors. May God Bless his family.
