Vernon Thomas Stanley's Obituary
On August 24, 1950 in New Orleans, Louisiana, a lovely son was born to Emmett Stanley and Stellina Tureaud and they named him Vernon Thomas Stanley. Vernon went on to be with the Lord on January 10, 2013.
Vernon grew up on Third Street in Uptown New Orleans and attended Holy Ghost Elementary School. He graduated from Joseph S. Clark High School. He was an experienced Ironworker/welder, the only one to follow in the footsteps of his maternal grandfather and was employed by Intermech of New Ellenton, South Carolina. He is preceded in death by his parents Emmett and Stellina Stanley, brothers, Kendrick and James Stanley and sister, Alice Stanley Caldwell.
Left to cherish his memories: his precious and only child, Dr. Ashley Marie Stanley, brother, Emmett Stanley, Jr. (Ingrid) and sister, Lois Stanley Madison and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Vernon will be remembered by his infectious smile, his quiet demeanor and happy go lucky attitude. He will be missed by all.
